How Lumineers Can Give You a More Beautiful Smile

While there are a variety of ways to make your teeth look more beautiful, dental veneers offer a special treatment for patients looking to fix discolored, worn, chipped, broken, uneven, or misaligned teeth.

At 6th Ave Periodontics, we offer patients veneers in the form of Lumineers, a new type of veneer that allows you to get a custom-made smile designed with care. Lumineers are a more modern form of veneers, which are an easy way to improve and whiten stained or chipped teeth, as well as protect a damaged tooth from further harm.

Lumineers are extremely thin veneers – less than one-third as thick as traditional veneers. In many cases, Lumineers are a wonderful option for a comfortable and simple smile make-over. Unlike traditional veneers, Lumineers can be applied with no injections and little to no alteration of your existing teeth.

In fact, the treatment is typically performed in only two visits, making Lumineers a fantastic option for patients looking to dramatically enhance their smile in a quick period of time.

1st Visit

After your initial consultation, we will take an impression of your upper and lower teeth, and send the mold to an authorized Lumineers laboratory along with photos and other records that ensure the very best case for you. Unlike traditional veneers, there is typically no need for extensive drilling, shots or unsightly acrylic temporaries.

2nd Visit

On your next visit, generally a couple weeks later, we will place your Lumineers. Before Lumineers are bonded in place, it is important to try them on to ensure a good fit. Teeth are then moderately etched to prepare for placement and then bonded one by one. We will then check your bite to make sure your contacts are balanced to avoid chipping your Lumineers through the course of daily function.

It’s that easy. Call our team or schedule an appointment to talk about how we can make your smile beautiful with Lumineers.
